1 - How do I clean a burned pan?
You can use pan cleaners such as King Kleen, Bar Keepers friend, Bon Ami o Cameo Copper Cleaner. After cleaning the pot with one of these products just wash it with common soap and water.
2 - Where can I find these cleaning products?
You can find them in any supermarket on the cleaning section.
3 - How much should I preheat the pan or pot?
If you are about to cook chicken or red meat, preheat the pan 3 or 4 minutes on moderate fire.
In order to test that the pan is hot enough let fall some drops of water over it. If the water "jumps" then you got your pan ready to cook. Otherwise leave it a few more minutes. If the water evaporates immediately then the pan is too hot and needs to cool down a little before cooking.
4 - How do I cook vegetables?
With very little water. The almost hermetic seal between cap and pan prevents steam leaks. This way vegetables cook in their own juices. Put the vegetables in the pan so that the bottom is barely covered with water. Put the cap on the pan and cook with moderate temperature.
5 - How do I get out the white or blue stains?
Blue or golden stains are produced by overheating the pan. Try not to overheat or leave them empty over the fire or inside a lit oven. Minerals found in some food could also leave white stains in your pans. In order to eliminate these stains do the following:
Make a paste of stainless steel cleaning powder and very little water. Apply the paste using humid paper towels and rub them firmly in a circular motion. After that wash the pan with soap and water. Rinse it and dry it.
6 - How can I keep egg from sticking to the frying pan?
First, preheat the pan over low flame. When the pan is hot, add some cooking oil, drop the eggs and turn off the fire. Cook the eggs with the heat that remains from the preheat. We recommend to put the cracked eggs in a cup to expose the whites to the air for a minute or so before putting them in the pan.
7 - What precautions should I take when cooking with Olympia?
Before cooking, you may take reasonable precautions as you will be exposed to hot surfaces, fire, electricity and/or gas. Never allow children to get close when you are cooking.
